I have been a certified personal trainer for over 18 years through the National Federation of Personal Trainers (N.F.P.T.). I have a passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals, sport specific training and teaching people how to get the most out of their workouts. I have more than 25 years of experience participating in, coaching and preparing for all kinds of sporting events. Such as; Mrs. Galaxy competitions, half marathons, soccer, softball, power skating and ice hockey.
I have developed, organized and implemented many successful exercise programs. Some of these programs include; boot camps, group training, weight loss, biggest loser contests, instructional on-ice and off-ice training for hockey players and competitive figure skaters.
My philosophy is geared toward functional training. This would include educating and training my client on total body strength with emphasis on form and explosive movements required for your sport or prepare you for acts of daily living. I will utilize cardiovascular conditioning, resistance, core, balance, agility and plyometric training into your workouts.
I have experience working with all ages and fitness levels from 11 or 77. I truly enjoy what I do and look forward to giving a client a fun and challenging workout designed specifically for them and their ability.
Additionally, I will provide nutritional guidance. The importance of proper diet and nutrition are necessary to lose weight, fuel the body around your workouts and get you ready for that special event or game day!
